HISTORY OF THE STATE SCHOOL OF HIGHER PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION IN PŁOCK
 

The State School of Higher Professional Education in Płock was founded in 1999. At present, Prof. Jacek Grzywacz is the Vice-Chancellor of the school. Ewa Wiśniewska, Ph.D., is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Research and Development, Jan Kalinowski, Ph.D., is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs and Teaching, and Roman Siemiątkowski, M.A., is the Head of the School Administration.

The State School of Higher Professional Education in Płock is composed of the Department of Modern Languages, Department of Mathematics and Information Technology, Department of Pedagogy and Department of Economics. Also, there are the following interdepartmental units in the school: Practical Foreign Language Teaching School, Physical Education and Sport School and Information Technology School. The State School of Higher Professional Education in Płock has its own academic publishing house and library.

The Teaching and Student Affairs Office, Student Training Office, Professional Development Office and Student Government are the particularly student-oriented units of the school.

The State School of Higher Professional Education in Płock has been providing the University of the Third Age in Płock with factual knowledge assistance since 2003.

The school runs accredited degree courses in economics, mathematics, pedagogy and philology. In total, there are 21 specialities within these fields of study. The school also offers postgraduate studies.           

Our students can cultivate their interests in the Student Government, Vox Juventutis  choir and Academic Sports Association.

The State School of Higher Professional Education in Płock has been cooperating with higher education and cultural institutions, both home and abroad, for many years.

The year 2009 is a jubilee year for our school. On 15 June 2009, it had been 10 years since the State School of Higher Professional Education in Płock had been founded by government order.
